- I'm having a strange problem with my Infotel V.34 Fax/Modem.
-
- It happens *always* when I'm at the *answering* end and somtimes on the
- originating end of an asynchronous connection with a 14.4k modem. The
- modems will connect with no problems, but then abrubtly hang up after
- 20-30 seconds. I've had this happen with more than one remote modem.
-
- I use this connection mode when playing the game Rise of the Triad in
- multiplayer mode, but I'm convinced it's not the game's fault, because the
- modems disconnect while still in chat mode before the game even loads...
-
- My init string:
-
- AT &F0 (Recall factory profile)
- &Q0 (Direct Asynchronous Mode)
- &K0 (Disables flow control)
- &D2 (DTR Setting)
- %C0 (Disables data compression, not sure if I even need this one since
- &Q0 is set )
- and I've tried these also
- S37 = 11 (Connect at 14400 v.32 mode) used when trying to conn. at 14400
- S37 = 9 (Connect at 9600 baud mode ) used when trying to conn. at 9600
- or no s37 parameter...
-
-
- any help would be appreciated, thanks.
